Inside Delta Air Lines Customer Care

Part 1.

As regular Airplane Life followers know, we are embroiled in a dispute with Delta Air Lines regarding a measly 20,000 SkyMiles.

I have been advised not to discuss specifics. I can, however, speak in generalities about the experience for the enlightenment of our readers.

So let's start with a hypothetical flyer named Alice who books an award ticket on Delta's website, and later thinks that she's been robbed.

Alice wants indemnification for what she feels is fraud. So she sends a polite and well crafted message to Delta Customer Care.

Initially, all such correspondence are routed through Headquarters in Atlanta.

Then things get interesting.

More in our next installment. We'll be off to India ....

More F-15's at Luke AFB

As long as the previous post brought us here, we might as well look at old slides.

Ship 7073 has an interesting pattern on the top of the wing. To replicate a MiG-25 signature?

Luke AFB Check 6

Legend has it that back in the 70's/80's, "CHECK 6" was written in Cyrillic on top of one of the buildings at Luke so the Soviet Zenit 4's would photograph it as they passed over Fighter Country.

Around the same time, we would occasionally buy Swinkels in 11oz bottles.

Remembering 9/11

On this day, we pause to remember the victims & heroes of September 11, 2001. We took these little pictures in 1990. The first was taken from the top of the Statue of Liberty, through a window on Liberty's crown. The second shows people standing in line to visit the observation deck of the south tower. God Bless America...

Our New Blog Name

The name of this blog has changed from "Airplane Lifestyle," to what you see now. This was done after I found a "rap" song with the former name. Apparently, we were, "Just short of success" once again ....

Curtiss C-46 Commando

Not often that the C-46 comes up in everyday conversation, but it happened. We shot this one in 1995 at Las Cruces. Dedicated to the late Harry Clark, Jr.
