  2. I loved this video. Being a Flight Attend was a wonderful life and a great way to see the world and have fun. I loved all the uniforms and seeing the "Stewardess College" or in todays lingo "The Learning Center". I think the head of the College was Millie Alfred and I saw her there. I like all current and former AA FA's line up on that stair case for our Graduation and paid homage to the Kiwi memorial.
    Just loved this.

  3. SUPER VIDEO! I was a "Stewardess" for over 40 years and I Loved it! F.Y.I. In the first photo is a dear friend of mine, Dianne! She and her crew sunbathed on the wing of the aircraft while it was parked in Arizona. Great Ad for AAL! Although at the time it was not well received! Its a "Hit" Now!

    3. What an energetic, dynamic group of women we were and still are. I'm just finishing my non-fiction, positive look at American Airline "stewardesses."
It's called "To Kiss the Sky." It chronicles our life style in the late 60's and 70's. It's funny and realistic. Wish me luck finding an agent and publisher. Final chapter published in LATIMES entitled "He arrived With A Cleaver."

    4. What wonderful memories. I worked in NYC from 1964 and ended my career in MCO in 2003. What comraderie we all had. Donna Thornhill (Trebus) Ireland

  5. I love the video. start in 66 and retired in 2004, not by choice I lose my eye sight in right eye. Great career, many great friends, who still are today. I would not have traded the time I had with American for all the riches in the world. DFW

  6. We have the greatest admiration for those of you who were lucky enough to work for American Airlines back in the Golden Age of air travel.

Very nice to hear from you!

I was a little behind most of you on the timeline, but I did once have a hamster named, "Astrojet."

  7. Who could forget that Baby Blue Burlap summer uniform? It was a good time to be a Stew. We had a chance to talk with the passengers & have fun. Terrific memories with AA, the best airline ever.

  9. This film brought back such wonderful memories. I was in the class 60-7 and being at the American Airlines Stewardess School was just a wonderful experience after college and I went on to fly 10 years. There will never be another time for young woman to know the world of travel, work and wonderful passengers. Those were the days! Thank you for the wonderful film and my walk down memory lane

  10. What wonderful memories; the steps at graduation, putting a penny on the monument out back, Stew U, all of the early 60s uniforms. It really WAS the golden age of aviation. CR Smith came to our graduation and told us how special we were, and we believed him. Things have surely changed, haven't they?
