How to Make an MD-87 Water Bomber

1) Find an MD-87 sitting around somewhere; such as N826TH.

2) Put in some engines.

3) Repair any major fuselage cracks with duct tape.

4) Re-register as N291EA, and add water. Viola! Instant water bomber!

And thanks to Russell Hill for use of his photo. He has some nice work on JetPhotos, including many from Hillsboro. You can see his pictures here .

Death Valley Aerial View

Highest temperature ever recorded on Earth was 134° F (56.7° C) on July 10, 1913. Right down there.

Justin Bieber Gets Eaten Alive by Goats

In entertainment value, that is.

A Justin Bieber song costs $1.29 on iTunes. Feeding goats at the zoo is only 25¢.

This the new CAO label.

So what's the big deal with arylsulphonic acid? Looks pretty stable.

Delta N509DA Boeing 727-232/Adv

We found some old slides. This one will eventually be restored and put on display at the Smithsonian Institution.

But what happened to N509DA ?

Here you go ...

Thanks to Botterman Bram for the use of his picture. He has some "museum quality" pictures of his own on Airliners, and you can see them here .

Railcar Derailment SHPX

Fixing this required use of a large crane.

The car was fully loaded, of course.

Always a good idea to "lock the switch."

Hangar One Vodka Review

It's very good.

It's made in an old hangar at an abandoned airfield (NGZ).

And it has a blimp on the label.

Smooth and neutral.

We might even like it better than Tito's, which was recently named the official vodka of United Airlines.

N502HE Challenger, N71FS Astra

We don't care much for the Challenger. They look like commuter planes.

Don't care for the Astra either. Like Rockwell Commanders, but the wing is wrong.
