National Guard Civil Support Team WMD
It was slightly unusual to see a WMD response team in the Costco parking lot. Are the $5 rotisserie chickens really that bad? Yikes!

N253WC, N8566E
Let me guess. You're wife thinks you're a nutcase because every time you see an aircraft in a movie or on TV, you look up the registration number, right?
They neglected to add a digital pilot to this fake jet's fake takeoff:
I couldn't get the registration on this awesome 1975 livery Speedbird:

Vintage LAX Ghost Town Pictures
A reader recently commented about the "Ghost Town" near LAX.

I seem to recall an incident in a '63 T-Bird in this area...
This shot by LBBC shows what was the premier spotting location at LAX back in the day. We spent many hours there.
A warp in the fabric of time allowed us to briefly revisit the site back '07.

Delta Flight 1086 La Guardia LGA N909DL MD-80 No Fatalities
Nobody died in this incident because the "MD" Series of McDonnell Douglas aircraft have a stronger fuselage than similar planes. An Airbus would have broken in half.
The arrows in the pictures below show the "crease" that divides the cross-section into two semicircles. Two circles are stronger than one. It makes the fuselage stronger.
